How can I get faster at sprinting for soccer?
I want to get a faster sprint for soccer for playing wing and all of that so I can get a good break on the ball. How can I train myself to get faster? I don’t have access to a gym or a lot of equipment only some dumbbells and thats about it.
There are 5 changes that will help improve your speed
1. Improved First Step
2. Increased Stride Length
3. Increased Stride Frequency
4. More Powerful "Drive"
5. Improved Running Form
To improve your first step, do things like "leaning starts" – stand with your feet about shoulder width apart. Keeping your body straight, begin to lean forward. Once you feel like you are "falling" your instinct should be to move one foot forward for balance. Just as you do that, take off for a short sprint. Do this several times.
To increase your stride length, try "power skips" – this is really easy. Basically, you are skipping, but trying to get as much height as possible each skip (like kids sometimes do). Do a few sets of 20 (10 of each leg) of these, then do the same thing trying to skip as far as possible (instead of as high as possible).

"High steps" – like American football players do when they are showing off – is a good way to increase your stride frequency.
Here is some more advice from my soccer training website that might help you:
